Description
Expedited Modernization Initiative Procedure (EMIP) Process Industry Day The EMIP, a key part of the Armys Tactical Wheeled Vehicle Modernization Strategy, is a multi-phased, continuous process designed to improve the current and future Tactical Wheeled Vehicles (TWV) fleet by identifying and leveraging industrys investments in advanced technologies. Under the lead of the Project Manager for Tactical Wheeled Vehicles (PM TWV), the EMIP is designed to allow Government representatives a venue to view technologies and educate them on new capability and possible quick (6 months o r less) implementation on the Armys Tactical Wheeled Vehicle fleet. An EMIP Industry Day will be held on May 25, 2005, starting at 9:00 am at the Sterling Heights Inn, located at 34911 Van Dyke Avenue, Sterling Heights, MI 48312, Telephone (586) 979-1400. Registration is from 8-9 am. It is expected that the morning session will last approximately 3-4 hours. There will be a one hour break for lunch and if need be an afternoon session for questions and answers. The overall objective of Industry Day will be to educate industry concerning the EMIP process. It is requested that all parties who wish to attend provide email notification via the following mailbox: TRUCKTECH@TACOM.ARMY.MIL Participants are requested to bring business cards with company name and POC information to facilitate a quick registration process the morning of May 25th.
