Description

The Government intends to award a sole source contract to Westfalia Separator, Inc., 100 Fairway Court, Northvale, NJ 07647 for the purpose of replacing various parts for fuel oil and lube oil purifiers onboard USNS GUADALUPE (T-AO 200). The parts being procured are direct replacements for parts that have worn out in service. Westfalia Separator, Inc. holds the proprietary design data, material specifications and operating parameters relating to the manufacture of the repair parts being purchased. There are no other licensed Westfalia Separator vendors in the country capable of producing or providing repair parts for this equipment. Parts from any other manufacturers producing similar equipment will neither fit nor function in this equipment. The use of non-Westfalia Separator Inc. produced parts will void the manufacturer?s warranties and may result in personnel injury or severe equipment damage. The vessel?s fuel oil and lube oil purifiers are inspected by the American Bureau of Shipping as a part of the statutory Continuous Machinery Survey and the Special Machinery Survey.
