Description
Description: Any questions regarding this solicitation should be addressed to: Gregory Rodriguez at grodrig@pica.army.mil. The Government intends to award a small purchase order, on a sole source basis, to Innovative Wireless Technologies, 1047 Vista park Dr. Suite A, Forest, VA 24551 under the authority of FAR 6.302- 1 (a)(2). The objectives are to contract for 12 ZigBee Ad-hoc Commercial Off- The-Shelf (COTS) communications modules with on-board processor sufficient to process acoustics classification and tracking algorithms. The total size of the communications boards with processor is approximately ?? X ?? inch. The contractor shall facilitate porting the algorithms to the processor board. The 12 modules will become part of a demonstration system of acoustics algorithms and used for demonstration purposes only. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial supplies, prepared in accordance with FAR 12.6 and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-03 and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation document; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Responses must contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill the requirement. The FAR provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, Commercial Items applies. 52.212-2 Evaluation of Commercial Items applies. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items and the clause 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition. FAR 52.225-13, Restrictions on Certain Foreign Purchases applies. FAR 52.232-33, Payments by Electronic Funds Transfer applies. All provisions and clauses are available at http://farsite.hill.af.mil. Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) to be eligible for award. See Numbered Note 25. ARDEC Clause 68 will apply. Responses are due by 12 May 2005.
