Description

The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Medrad Inc. of Indianola, PA to furnish and install one (1) CT Dual Injector System for the VAMC NORTH CHICAGO, 3001 GREENBAY ROAD, NORTH CHICAGO, IL. 60064. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302 - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. NAICS 532490. To the best of our knowledge, Medrad Inc. is the only company that offers a Saline Flush System when performing Cardiac CT and CT Angio while allowing for simultaneous injections of saline and contrast. This feature results in enhancement with reduced artifacts and is the only equipment which will meet the needs of the facility. Equipment shall also include the following: A Pressure Monitor Graph feature which will measures real time pressure at the syringe tip and an injector that can test inject while in the same protocol. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However; any firm that believes it can meet the requirements, may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within ten (10) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC-GLAC, Building 5, 5000 W. National Ave. Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295 or via fax to (414) 902-5440. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Medrad Inc.
