Description

This project provides for a new approximately 844 Square Meter Refueling Vehicle Maintenance Facility with 2 or 3-bay refueling truck maintenance area, administrative offices, multi-purpose room, latrines, project storage, equipment storage, and supp ort service space such as mechanical, electrical, and communications. Work also includes, but is not limited to, site preparation, concrete foundation, steel structural frame with metal stud or CMU wall infill; EFIS/stucco exterior surfaces; CMU wainscot; masonry exterior walls for maintenance areas; metal stud and gypsum board walls for office areas; asphalt shingle or standing seam metal roof over steel structure; suspended gypsum board, acoustical and exposed ceilings; standard finishes such as vinyl ti le and paint; utilities; concrete hardstand, utilities, and landscaping. The project also provides for the demolition of one existing facility. The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. A firm fixed price competitive 8(a) contract is anticipated to be awarded using Best Value Evaluation criteria. The RFP solicitation is anticipated to be issued on or about 31 May 2005, and offers will be due on or about 30 Jun 2005. No public bid opening procedures are applicable to this solicitation. Anticipated award date is 22 Jul 05. Anticipated project completion date is 24 Jun 06.The place of performance is Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. The 2002 North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this project is 236220. SIC is 1542. The Product Service Code is Y199. The Small Business Size Standard is $28.5 Million. THIS IS A COMPETITIVE 8(a) SOLICITATION FOR 8(a) FIRMS WITH A BONA FIDE OFFICE WITHIN THE STATE OF TEXAS. The plans and specifications, when availa ble, will be issued on compact disk (CD-ROM) and will be mailed to all registered plan holders on the solicitation issuance date. The solicitation number is W9126G-05-R-0043. The Primary Point of Contract for this project is Mr. David M. Deleranko, USACE Contract Specialist, (817)886-1087. Plans and specification will not be provided in a hard paper copy format unless the Government determines that it is necessary. Notification of amendments will be made, at the Governments discretion, via the Internet or CD-ROM only.
