Description

The Bureau of Reclamation, Yuma Area Office, Yuma, Arizona, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Control Systems International, Inc., 8040 Nieman Road, Lenexa KS, 66214-1523. The contractor has maintained the system at the Yuma Desalting Plant for the last 4 years and is the sole source for the requirement of systems integration services to complete the programming and commissioning of the Yuma Desalting Plant (YDP) distributed control system (DCS), known as the UCOS (User Configurable Operating System). The requirement includes an assessment of YDP's existing UCOS system and appurtenant documentation, all labor required to integrate and commission plant components that have not yet been integrated into the UCOS system, startup and commissioning plans for 30 remote control units of the UCOS system, application development control schemes using software currently in use at YDP, and necessary Human Machine Interface components. This procurement will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition procedures. The anticipated award date is June 1, 2005. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. Offers shall show contractor's capability to provide required items and be received by 12 Noon, local time, May 31, 2005.
