- Description
- NAICS Code: 334519 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Radiation & Indoor Environments National Laboratory (R&IENL) in Las Vegas, NV intends to award a fixed-price Purchase Order under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Canberra Industries of Meriden, CT. The purpose of this acquisition is to fully integrate the rapid alpha testing and development platform (Alpha Analyst TM) with the existing fixed alpha system in EPA's Center for Radioanlaysis and Quality Asssurance. Also included is a site-licensed version of Canberra's alpha spectroscopy software (AMS), which will enable the full integration of the fixed and mobile spectroscopy systems in R&IENL's radiochemistry laboratory. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334519. It has been determined that because of the specialized nature of the equipment and software, and the need for full interchangeability, back-up and filesharing capabilites between R&IENL's fixed and mobile systems, Canberra Industries is the only vendor uniquely qualified to satisfy the Government's requirement. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting EPA's requirement as stated herein may submit a response, which if received by the response date of this announcement may be considered. Responses to posting must be in writing. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All questions should be directed to Jami Rodgers via the link below.
