Description

The project consists of Base Item and Option Items. Base Item consists of construction of recreation sites and numerous road drainage and improvement sites along the Illinois River. Work includes site surveys based on established Government survey control points; road and parking construction/reconstruction; construction of sign bases and information kiosks, asphalt walks, amphitheatre, picnic shelters; obliteration of existing roads and parking; installation of gates and boulders for traffic control; installation of Government furnished trail bridge and fee tubes; erosion control and related construction work. Option items include road work, a boat launch facility, sign structure and other related construction. Work is expected to begin on or about 8/15/05 and all work is to be completed by 11/15/06. Price range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The project sites are located along the Illinois River and two Forest Roads (FR 4201 and FR 4103) in Josephine County, Oregon on the Illinois Valley Ranger District of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National. Solicitation will be available for download from FedBizOpps on or about June 2, 2005. Performance and payment bonds (100 percent each) will be required after award. Note: prospective awardee shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) data base prior to award.
