Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), intends to conduct negotiations on a sole source basis with TSI, Inc. of Shoreview, MN for the Fast Mobility Particle Sizer (FMPS) Model 3091. Real time data collection is essential to the research project "Chemical Hazards in Mining" and this model has a patented process of integrating sensitive electrometers to measure particle charge and software design to correct and sort signals to provide real time output. Compatability with current-owned instruments is required. This is not a request for quotation and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide services are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 15 days from the date synopsis is issued. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This acquisition is being processed under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The anticipated delivery date is 30 days after award.
