- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This acquisition is unrestricted. The solicitation number is FA4486-05-T-0013. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This requirement is currently unfunded. The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-03 and DFARS Change Notice 20050509 Edition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code to this acquisition is 423440. Items required: 0001 ? Marquee Sign, Outdoor, Text: 9 inches, Color: Amber, Lines of text: 4, Power: 120volts/50Hz. Sign must include the following: Software that is both English and Portuguese compatible, Graphics, Temperature sensor and display, Time display ? Must be military time. Connection: The Government will connect the sign to the LAN through fiber optic cable. Placement: Sign will be mounted at road-level with (approx) 300-feet visibility, Quantity 2 each If outdoor signs are sold as 220 Volts/50 Hz the contractor must provide specifications that the sign?s electrical has 2 hot wires and 1 neutral. CONTRACTORS MUST INCLUDE SPECIFICATIONS FOR ANY ITEMS QUOTED ON. 52.211-6, Brand Name or Equal (Aug 1999) applies. If quoting an or equal item the Offeror shall submit specifications. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial items, applies to this acquisition. Offerors shall provide a firm fixed-price for above items. Offerors must provide projected delivery date. Successful contractor must meet all the responsibility requirements of Subpart 9.1 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). A written notice of award or acceptance of offer, mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party. Evaluation will be made based on the lowest price offer, with the proposed delivery date closest to our target delivery date. Shipping price to this destination shall be included in the overall proposal. Award will be based on lowest price submitted and responsiveness to the terms and conditions of the requirements. All proposals should be clearly marked with the bidders name and solicitation number. The due date for submission of proposals is 4:00 PM (GMT), 20 May 2005; send to 65th Contracting Squadron, Unit 7775, APO AE 09720. Facsimile submissions and e-mail transmission will be accepted. Offerors are responsible to comply with this notice and any amendments thereto. Amendments to this RFQ will be published in the same manner as the initial synopsis/solicitation. All proposals and other normal documents required for the proposal submittal, including amendments to the proposal submittal, shall be in paper medium. All Offerors interested in receiving notification of updates/amendments to the solicitation posted on EPS are urged to enroll on the web site mailing list for this Acquisition. Those Offerors enrolled will be notified automatically of any changes made to the RFQ through their e-mail addresses
