Description

The Army Contracting Agency (ACA), Directorate of Contracting (DOC), Fort Carson intends to award a sole source contract for Medical Evacuation Services to Centura Health - Colorado Flight For Life on a non-dedicated, fee-for-service basis. The autho rity for this contract action is 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source is available in the Colorado Springs area capable of meeting the response time requirements necessary to provide a viable short term MEDEVAC solut ion. This contract action is a interim stopgap measure with a performance period commencing on 1 June 2005 and ending on 30 September 2005. A larger and more permanent solution for MEDEVAC services will be solicited under competitive procedures at a future date.
