- This is a SOLE SOURCE procurement for shipboard repairs for TANO (Original Equipment Manufacturer) field service for Main Engine Alarm/Control Console and Cargo Operations Alarm/Control Console for a T-AO class ship. Equipment can include bridge control console, engine room console, tank level indicator system, cargo control console, machine space remote, cargo deck remote, local control panels, ship service generator console, and propulsion control console. The Period of Performance is expected to be 11 July 2005 through 29 July 2005. This requirement will be solicited as Sole Source RFP, under NAICS Code 336611 with a size standard of 1000 employees. Telephonic requests for the solicitation resulting from this notice will not be accepted. Only written (fax or email) requests will be accepted. The estimated issue date for this solicitation is 17 May 2005. The closing date of the solicitation will be 20 May 2005, unless a later date is specified in the solicitation. This requirement will be procured under FAR Part 12. This requirement will be negotiated on an other than full and open competition basis in accordance with 10 USC 2304(c)(1) with Tano Corporation, as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
