Description

component of the Integrated Multi-Platform Launch Controller (IMPLC). The IMPLC is installed on F/A-18E/F, F-16, and B-1B aircraft. The IMPLC deploys the ALE-50 or ALE-55 towed decoys from these aircraft for the purpose of seducing incoming air-to-air and radio frequency missiles away from the aircraft. The BCC is required to allow the launcher to control the distance that the ALE-55 towed decoy follows behind the aircraft and also for the IMPLC to interface with the ALE-55. The 6 BCCs being procured under this modification will go into the six IMPLCs procured under modification P00005 under NAVAIR contract N00019-03-C-0056. Raytheon Systems Company is the designer, developer, and manufacturer of the IMPLC and is the only source with the personnel, facilities and knowledge to fulfill this requirement.
