Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), China Lake CA intends to procure on an Other Than Full and Open Competition (OTF&OC) micro memory hardware from Micro Memory Inc, 9540 Vassar Ave, Chatsworth CA 91311-1416. The basis for the OTF&OC is unique capabilities and only known source. The memory boards have specific set of performance requirements that are needed in order to meet the functional requirements of the CLUSTER POINTER system, The key critical elements required by the memory boards is the ability to transfer data over both standard VMEbus and the auxiliary RACEway high speed data bus that uses the VME bus P2 connector auxiliary pins. Other key aspects of the requirement are the ability of the memory to be accessed independently and simultaneously over both the VME and RACEway busses. This capability is referred to as Dual Port Access. Additionally, the full 256 Mbyte memory must be directly accessible on the VME bus, without windowing or ! page operations. These key distinguishing features are summarized below, along with the other physical and electrical requirements of the memory board. Minimum requirements: Size/Form Factor - 6U VME bus standard, Single bus slot; Memory Capacity - 256 Mbyte minimum; Memory access - Simultaneous Dual Port Access; Temperature Range - 0 to +60 Decrees C (operational) -20 to +60 Degrees C (Storage); Relative Humidity - Up to 95% without condensation; Electrical Power - 5 Vdc not to exceed 3.0 Amps; VME Bus Interface ? VME A-32 Memory space, 1 Mbyte Boundary selectable, VME A-16 (short I/O) Control/Status Register (CSR) 8, 16, 32, 64 bit (UTA) data read/write VME/VME64 Rev D or newer; RACEway Interface - RACEway 1.0 compatible 64 Bit read/write (32Bit Multiplexed) Mercury Computers RACEway certification (RACEtrack) 2 Kbyte maximum block transfer size; Data Parity - Byte wide parity generation/checking (VME & RACEway) Front Panel Parity Indication, CSR Parity enable, CSR Parity! error monitor/clear, CSR write wrong parity test mode. NAWCWD intends to procure 16 units, part number MM6490/256 - Dual Port VME/VEM64 and RACEway Memory, 256 Mbyte, with and option to buy an additional 8 units within 12 months. Any firm believing they can provide the Micro Memory Part Number MM-6490D/256M may submit a written response to be received by the Contracting Officer no later than 5 days after the date of publication of this notice. It must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, reliability or undue harm to the program.
