Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial supplies prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation number is R1-05-13 and this requirement is being issued as a Request for Quote. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-13. The procurement is 100% set-aside for small business. See Numbered Note 1. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number is 453210-size standard 6.0. The USDA Forest Service, 200 East Broadway, Missoula, Montana 59807 intends to award a firm-fixed price contract for the acquisition of the following items. Copier Specifications; Will need to have lease verses purchase comparison! 220 Volt, 20 Amp Power Requirements, Preventative Maintenance Schedule of once every 500,000 copies, Developer Replacement Cycle 1,000,000 copies, Tray/Stapling/Pos(s) 3,000/100, 50/8, 8, 100 sheet stapling capacity, Booklet Mode, Book Copy Mode (ability to duplicate both right and left pages from an open book), Energy-Star compliant, Recommenced Monthly Volume 750,000 copies, Paper Handling, First copy in 4 seconds or less, Warm-up time of 7 seconds or less, Speed/Capacity 85 copies per minute, Document Feeder Capacity 100 sheets, Paper Weights (handled by copier) 13-lb bond to 110-1b index, By-Pass Tray Capacity, 150-sheets (20# Bond) with capacity to handle up to 110-lb index (cardstock), Maximum Paper Capacity of 6000 sheets or more, Maximum Original Paper size for copying 11? X 17?, Copier Memory 512 MB, 20-GB or greater, Image Repeat Mode, Image Overlay, Image Insert, Stamping, Watermark Capability, Date/Time stamping, Page numbering capability, Zoom Range of 25-400 percent in 1% increments, Conduct extensive training for copier room employees, Process of simplex and duplex originals in the same job, Copy and print on tab extensions, Document scanning capability (for storage as PDF files), Future Tandem capability (optional, depending on machine presented, please offer pricing), Print Engine made out of metal rather than plastic, Print controller option, scan to email, scan to FTP, and scan to HDD, Ability to print directly from on-line computer applications, Optical Character recognition ? OCR. Trade-in options; Can only trade-in one copier and would like to get the best value possible. Sharp AR-505 copier from the Mail Room (this is the first copier I?d get rid of). CF910 Minolta color copier ? I?d trade one of these BEFORE a 520 or 620 Minolta. DI620 Minolta, need of repairs. Minolta 520 or 620 black & white copier. The Contractor shall include all shipping and transportation cost in price proposal. The Contractor shall be responsible for any and all damages occurring in transit. All Equipment shall be delivered by June 30, 2005 or an alternate date may be proposed. The Equipment shall be delivered to Sue Pecnick at 200 East Broadway, Missoula MT 59807. Final acceptance of delivered item under this contract shall be the responsibility of the Contracting Officer or his/her designee. Quality of the deliverables is subject to verification by the Contracting Officer?s Representative (COR) with the final payment to be withheld pending acceptance. Quotes will be evaluated in accordance with FAR 13.106-2. The Government will award a contract resulting from this RFQ to the responsible offeror(s) whose offer conforms to the RFQ, and is considered to be the best value to the Government. The following factors shall be used: Contractor?s ability to meet aspects of the specifications, past performance/servicing capability (provide 3 references of recent customers) and price. The government reserves the right to make award on initial quotes received without discussions.
