Description: The contractor shall furnish to the Department of Veterans Affairs, Medical & Regional Office Center, Togus, Maine a Board or board Certified or board eligible/ACLS Certified Physicians to provide Medical Officer of the Day (MOD) coverage for all weekday evenings and nights, all weekends and all federal holidays. In addition, the contractor shall furnish qualified ACLS Certified Physician Extenders (PE) (defined as physician assistant (PA) or nurse practitioner (NP)) with adequate experience in mental health services that will work under a scope of practice and under the clinical supervision of the MOD. Period of performance will be for one year from August 1, 2005 through July 31, 2006, with four (1) year options. Numbered Note 29 applies.
