- THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) will host an Industry Day for the Persistent Unmanned Maritime Airborne Surveillance Capability. NAVAIR intends to release a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) to seek proposals for research support in developing innovative solutions which provide persistent unmanned maritime airborne surveillance capability. The complete BAA and all associated documentation will be listed at http://www.navair.navy.mil (choose ?Doing Business? from the left side of the page; select ?Open Solicitations?; select N00019-05-R-0071). This Industry Day will provide an opportunity for Navy leadership to brief planned ISR program and mission system improvements to industry. Additionally, NAVAIR will discuss BAA goals with industry. The Industry Day will be conducted on 3 June 2005 at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center, California, MD 20670. Attendees should plan to arrive between 0830 and 0900. Industry Day will begin at 0900 and briefings will continue through 1200. In lieu of one-on-one meetings, an extended question and answer session will be conducted after the briefings. No one-on-one meetings will be scheduled. Attendance at Industry Day is limited to a maximum of 5 individuals per organization. For corporate entities having multiple distinct divisions, each division may send a maximum of 5 personnel. To register for Industry Day email Randal Marbury at randal.marbury@navy.mil. If you have already registered, you do not have to register again; however, please provide any changes to your team?s personnel roster. In all cases, the subject line of your email response shall read: PUMAS Industry Day. Responses shall include business name, address, attendee?s full name and a point of contact phone number. Registration by telephone will not be accepted. Clearances are not required and all discussions will be unclassified. The deadline for submitting registration requests is 2 June 2005. This announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind. The Navy will NOT assume liability for costs incurred by an offeror for travel expenses, presentations, marketing efforts or data offered for examination; therefore the cost of preparing information in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government.
