- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) has a requirement for the services of a contractor to develop a design of a national demonstration program that will provide immediate cash benefits and a medical benefits package to a beneficiary upon expedited approval of their Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) claim. In addition to the design work, the contractor will carry out the implementation, data collection, and evaluation activities for this program at multiple sites that are geographically dispersed. The contractor shall: 1) design the demonstration; 2) conduct the demonstration in multiple sites, which involves recruiting participants to meet designed enrollment targets, working with SSA?s Medical Benefits Demonstration Contractor to ensure that appropriate medical services are provided, and performing a process evaluation, an impact evaluation, and a cost-benefit analysis that will allow SSA to determine the feasibility of long-term programmatic changes; and 3) write a final report. SSA anticipates awarding a cost reimbursement type contract with a five (5) year period of performance. The NAICS code is 541990, with a size standard of $6 million. Solicitation number SSA-RFP-05-1045, is scheduled for release on or about June 3, 2005. The solicitation and any amendments will be available for downloading from the Federal Procurement website at www.fedbizopps.gov. HARD COPIES OF THE RFP WILL NOT BE MAILED. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the FedBizOpps website to check the status of this requirement and to keep current with any amendments that may be issued.
