Description

The HAC intends to conduct pharmacy healthcare transactions via HIPAA Compliant Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). The HAC intends to award a contract to utilize the expertise of a Contractor (Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) or Pharmacy Network Provider (PNP)) with an extensive network of retail pharmacies acting as a clearinghouse to provide the transactions and to conduct cost savings functions. This request is to establish the basis of participation by a Contractor (PBM or PNP) representing pharmacies throughout the fifty United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and Guam, who are capable of providing services to CHAMPVA, SB, CWVV and any future HAC program beneficiaries. This contract will be award as "full and open" using a "cascading" procurement strategy. The NAICS is 518210. The Business Associate Agreement and all other appropriate and relevant forms must be returned with the submission of the technical and cost proposals. The service is to be performed for the VA Health Administration Center, Denver CO but the eligible beneficiaries are nationwide. Please follow the detailed instructions provided in the solicitation document for submission of the proposals. The deadline for submission of questions concerning this solicitation is June 10, 2005. At that time the questions will be reviewed, evaluated and the questions and responses posted to this website. Please submit questions via email to the address below.
