- HQ USAFE/A3W has a requirement for Brand Name ?Ninjo? or Equal software licensing support for Weather Forecasting and Analysis Software Application to be located at Sembach Air Base, Germany, commencing on or about Feb 06. Salient and general characteristics as follows: Application allows weather forecasters to ingest and analyze the current state of the atmosphere and produce a wide variety of operational products. User friendly design allows forecasters to easily integrate weather satellite and radar data with computer weather model data, enabling the creation of weather forecasts designed to meet the specific requirements of military operations. Written in a computer language that allows the application to run on a wide variety of computer systems easily allowing for the creation of add-on military software applications. - Written in JAVA language/can run on virtually any hardware platform - Easy to use graphical interface - Interactive product interrogation - Network-centric design - Highly configurable programming framework easily facilitates addition of military software applications - Easy to use automatic chart production - Fully integrated ingest and display of satellite and radar data - Produces geo-referenced images which are easily compatible with AF Command & Control applications - Ability to send and receive data - Meteorological Watch: Ability to display satellite, radar, lightning, and observational data - Weather Analysis: Ability to analyze current state of the atmosphere and create automated forecast weather charts - Weather Forecasting: Ability to use system as a whole to create weather forecasts. Software integrates all weather data required to create weather products into a single software package and all pertinent data can be accessed within 3 mouse clicks.
