- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. The Government requires eight (8) each Portable Acoustic Targeting Systems with options to procure up to two (2) additional units. It is intended to procure these items on a sole source basis from AAI Corporation, P.O. Box 126, Hunt Valley, Maryland, via a firm-fixed price contract for commercial items awarded under Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items, FAR Subpart 13.5. The targeting systems are to be identical to and form, fit and functionally compatible with existing targeting systems competitively purchased from AAI Corporation. Delivery is required soon as possible and shall be FOB Destination, NSWC Crane, IN. Final inspection and acceptance of the Targeting Systems shall be at Destination. The applicable NAICS Classification is 339999 and the size standard is 500 employees. Interested parties may submit inquiries by sending a request via e-mail to scott.bingham@navy.mil. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which! the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received prior to the ?anticipated closing date? stated above will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation will be issued.
