Description
TO REQUEST A COMPLETE SOLICITATION PACKAGE, CONTACT MARILYN CLARK, 912-652-4327 OR MARGIE MORAN AT 912-652-4543 MAGNITUDE OF SERVICE IS UNDER $100,000.00 A MANDATORY PRE-BID SITE VISIT IS SCHEDULED FOR JUNE 3, 2005 AT 1:00 P.M. AT 111 N. ADAMS ST., TALLAHASSEE, FL 32301. CONTRACT IS CONTEMPLATED AS A PERFORMANCE BASED TYPE WITH A BASE YEAR WITH 4 OPTION YEARS. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE FOR BASE YEAR IS 1 JULY 2005 THROUGH 30 JUNE 2006 SCOPE OF WORK: The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, supplies, supervision, management, and equipment necessary to complete and total landscaping services so as to maintain all shrubs, all grassy areas, all ground cover areas, all flower beds, perform trash and leaf removal, fertilization, prompt removal of all grass clippings, and storm debris. The services shall take place at two locations within the federal building grounds and shall be accomplished between the house of 8:00am and 5:00pm on Saturdays and/or Sundays. 1. Performance Requirements for Period 1 March through 31 October: a. Turf and Lawn Areas: 1. Mowing: Turf areas shall be maintained at a height of 2 ?? to 3? 2. Edging: All sidewalks and curbs shall be edged as needed. 3. Fertilization: Shall be on a twice a year fertilization program. 4. Weed Control: Weed control shall be managed with an appropriately applied, minimal herbicide program. 5. Insect and Disease Control: As appropriate and only after approval of submittal. See submittal list. 6. Overseeing: Overseeing of turf area shall be accomplished in the fall immediately following core aeration. b. Shrub, Groundcover and Flowerbed Maintenance 1. Pruning: Shrubs, groundcover and flower beds shall be pruned to remove dead or damaged branches, develop natural form, maintain plant shape and promote growth. 2. Fertilization: All plant material shall be fertilized annually. 3. Mulching: Plant material shall be maintained in neat edged beds of uniform pine straw mulch, free of foreign matter and at a 2? depth. Mulching should be accomplished annually in April or May. 4. Weeding: All beds shall be weeded during the growing season to maintain a neat appearance. Pre emergent (soil applied) and post emergent (foliar applied) herbicides may be used. 5. Insect and Disease Control: As appropriate and only after approval of submittal. See submittal list. c. General Area of Property 1. Storm Debris: Storm debris shall be picked up and properly disposed of within 48 hours of storms. 2. Rake and Removal of Leaves: Fenced areas, shrub beds, flower beds, turf areas, sidewalks, gutters, roadways and other surfaces shall be free of leaves. 2. Performance Requirements for Period 1 November through 28 February: General Area of Property a. Storm Debris: Storm debris shall be picked up and properly disposed of within 48 hours of storms. b. Rake and Removal of Leaves: Fenced areas, shrub beds, flower beds, turf areas, sidewalks, gutters, roadways and other surfaces shall be free of leaves. 3. Submittals: All listed submittals shall be submitted with proposal and shall not utilized without prior approval from GSA a. Weed Control Product b. Insect, Pest, Disease Product c.
