Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award, on a sole source basis, a purchase/delivery order to : ISOTEC INC. The purchase/delivery order is for procuring the following: Custom Sythesis of Stabel Isotopes used in determining exposure to trans fatty acids in human populations. The authority for this sole source procurement is FAR part 6.302-2, The proposed contract action is made in the condition described in 6.302-2 (or, for purchases conducted using simplified acquisition procedures, if unusual and compelling urgency precludes competition to the maximum extent practicable) and the government would seriously injured if the agency complies with the time periods specified in FAR 5.203. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide the required products/services are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 10 calendar days from the publication date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
