- THIS IS A MARKET SURVEY, NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of Research Facilities Development and Operations (ORF), is seeking Sources Sought of HUBZone and Service-Disable veteran able sources in the Washington Metro Baltimore Area capable of performing all associated demolition, removal of hazardous material, and construction of projects. General Contractor in Planning and Construction shall have special skills, and demonstrate the ability to serve large Institutions with needs for controlled humidification Applications. Working in Hospitals, Laboratories, and Office Buildings. The General Contractor must demonstrate moisture control to avoid dry atmosphere from hygroscopic material. The General Contractor must have certified Medical Gas Piping Technicians. The General Contractor must demonstrated working on Water System in Biomedical and Bio-Technical research facilities. The General Contractor must have knowledge and experience working on Chilled Water System, Reverse Osmosis System / Deionization Systems. The General Contractor must have knowledge and experience working on Heating Systems, UPS Systems, CO2 Incubators, Cell Separator, -80C Freezer, Biological safety cabinet, Walk-in-cold room and BL1,BL2, BL3 Labs. Contractor shall have experience working with large tonnage systems, Liebert , Airflow, Data Aire, and Eps. Currently NIH intends to issue a solicitation for one base year and four one-year option requirement at a total estimated value exceeding 3 million dollars. Any potential contractors should respond with a capability statement by June 7, 2005 no later than the COB @ 3:00 pm EST. Capability statements must not be any longer than 10 pages in length. Capability statements must reference similar work that has been performed by the contractor, the dollar value of that work, and contract information for references knowledgeable about the quality of work completed. Potential offerors MUST indicate business size and proof of certification HUBZone or Service disable Veteran in their capability statement and provide the mailing address, phone number, and email address of point of contact. All companies who respond to this announcement will receive notification of how NIH intends to proceed with this requirement.
