Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the FAR Parts 12 and 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be issued. Parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure that they have the most up to date information about this request. RFQ 0033159 is being conducted under the procedures of FAR Parts 12 and 13, and is non restrictive. The FBI intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract for a period of one year with four additional option years for the maintenance of microscopes located at the FBI's Laboratory Building, Quantico, Virginia. This facility is located on the grounds of the U. S. Marine Corp Base Quantico, Virginia, which is approx. 45 miles south of Washington, DC. The requirement is for the annual maintenance and recertification of the LD 267 microscopes [19 manufactures and over 60 different models], and the service shall be performed at the LD facility. SECURITY: Due to the secure location, a background investigation will be required. Responses shall be received by 1300 hours, Friday, June 10, 2005 as outlined in RFQ.
