Description

This solicitation is for the Look Angle Satellite Survey Tool (LASST) Initiative. It is to demonstrate the effects of using a commercial-off-the-shelf, GPS-enabled Personal Digital Assistant loaded with commercially available satellite look angle software. SYSTEM Requirements -i) Two units with the following capabilities: Hardware; GPS-enabled PDA, Handheld, ruggedized and a carrying case. ii) Software: Capable of locating commercial and military satellites for the purposes of sending and receiving communication in austere locations (shall be capable of accepting user inputs with regard to satellite location). Software shall be capable of calculating magnetic declination data according to latitude and longtude provided by GPS receiver imbedded in PDA. Each unit will come with its own operating manual. Prospective bidders must be registered in CCR (http://ccr.gov) in order to be considered for award.
