Description

The Government intends to award a sole source contract for only the installation of Astro Spectra Consolette Control Stations at Beale AFB, California as a direct award to Delta Wireless, Inc. This procurement is a proceeding award under FAR 13.106(b)(1). Delta Wireless, Inc., a small business, is the contractor for the current Legacy LMR System maintenance at Beale AFB. The Control Stations will be used to fulfill a sustained role to the 9th Reconnaissance Wing?s mission. The current acquisition to install the Control Stations is a contract necessary to maintain continuity of services and mission integrity while avoiding duplication of costs that are not expected to be recovered through competition. In addition Delta Wireless is the only Motorola-authorized contractor in the area; all warranty and maintenance work on this system is tasked by Motorola to Delta Wireless. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238210. The small business standard is $12 Million.
