Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to issue an award with a base year and two option years to the Starkville School District to provide a full time school district employee (janitor/ grounds keeper) to be stationed at the Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge in Brooksville, MS and will perform duties for both agencies for on-site janitorial services. Due to the remote location of the refuge, it has been difficult for the Fish & Wildlife Service to contract for janitorial services in the past. The Starkville School district's Environmental Education Center, which is located on the refuge, has encountered problems also. The Starkville School District will furnish an employee to share with the Fish & Wildlife Service. THIS NOTICE IS NEITHER A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION NOR A SOLICITATION OF OFFERS. A determination not to compete this proposed contract has been made Pursuant to 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), as implemented by 6.302-1(b)(1)(i), this requirement has been justified and approved in accordance with FAR 6.303 and FAR 6.304.
