Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to issue an award to Alderman Environmental Services to perform freshwater mussel surveys for the Carolina heelsplitter in South Carolina for the Charleston, SC field office. This is a continuation of work that Alderman was previously contracted to perform for the Fish & Wildlife Service. The Carolina heelsplitter is an extremely rare species. John Alderman has the experience and required permits necessary to work with the heelsplitter. THIS NOTICE IS NEITHER A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION NOR A SOLICITATION OF OFFERS. A determination not to compete this proposed contract has been made Pursuant to 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), as implemented by 6.302-1(b)(1)(i), this requirement has been justified and approved in accordance with FAR 6.303 and FAR 6.304.
