Description

This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. NUWCDIVNPT has a requirement for nine (9) GVS9000 servers. This procurement will be solicited as a sole make and model for the GVS9000 servers, which are manufactured by Grand Vitesse Systems. FAR part 12 procedures for the acquisition of commercial items will be used on this procurement. A formal solicitation under N66604-05-Q-3643 should be issued within the next week, which will include the specifications of the GVS9000 Servers. This action is being processed as a sole make and model to ensure compatibility and interchangeability of existing CLUSTER REVERB systems. Selection will be based on the offeror providing a technically acceptable product at the lowest cost. NAICS Code is 334119; size standard is 1000 Employees. Required delivery is six weeks after date of award, F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI. All proposals from responsible sources will be considered however, no substitute components will be evaluated or accepted. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form.
