Description

OPERATIONS TRAINING FACILITY, Kirtland AFB, Bernalillo County, NM. This acquisition is a total HUBZone set-aside. Only offers from qualified HUBZone small business concerns that appear on the list of Qualified HUBZone Small Businesses maintained by the Small Business Administration will be accepted. Offers received from concerns that are not certified by the SBA to participate in the HUBZone program shall be considered non-responsive and will be rejected. NAICS is 236220 (former SIC Code 1542), wi th a size standard of $28,500,000.00. The magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. The offerors attention is directed to Section 00100 in the Solicitation for information regar ding the tour of the site. Plans will be issued on or about June 15, 2005, with proposals due on or about July 27, 2005. This solicitation will not be issued on paper. WORK CONSISTS of the construction of a 25,640 square foot pre-engineered building w ith an exterior pre-finished metal siding and standing seam metal roof, and a guardhouse with outriggers with razor wire coils. Type of spaces to be provided are administrative, training, lockers, equipment issue, vault room, break room/ready room with ki tchenette, restrooms/showers, janitor and storage rooms, weapon cleaning room, and mechanical/electrical rooms. Some of the administrative spaces are enclosed with full height partitions with sound attenuation for SCIF upgrade purposes. The facility will be enclosed with security chain link fence with controlled entry/exit. Construction also includes utility connections and installation of area lighting around the existing paved area. The facility will be classified in accordance with the international building code (IBC 2000) as group A2 land and B2 mixed occupancy. The building will be of type II one hour construction. In accordance with NFPA 101, this facility will be classified a new business with mixed-use assembly. THE PROJECT will be advertised as an Invitation For Bid. This solicitation will be issued using electronic bid sets (EBS) and provided on compact disks-read only (CD-ROM) at no charge to all registered plan holders. Any prospective bidder interested in proposing on this solicitation must register to be placed on the Plan Holders List. If you are not registered, the United States Government is not responsible for providing you with notification of any changes to this solicitation. Bidders must self-register on the Internet. On this screen that is entitled, EBS Albuquerque District, click on the solicitation number you are interested in. On the following screen, find Solicitation Registration, and c lick on Register For This Solicitation. If you have not previously registered, click on New User and follow the instructions for Login Information. This will require you to establish a user name and password. The same user name and password may be used to register for other projects in the system without having to repeat the entire registration process. When you register for the Plan Holders List, please complete all requested information. After completing the registration process for this solicitation , verify that your firms name appears on the associated Plan Holders List.
