Description

The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and constructing the Upper Yazoo Projects, Item 6A, Channel Improvement, located in Leflore and Tallahatchie Counties, Mississippi. Principal features of the work include mo bilization and demobilization, clearing for channel excavation, channel excavation, disposal areas, disposal of excavated materials, clearing and grubbing, corrugated metal pipes, stone ditch outlet protection, erosion control, bank stabilization work, pro viding as-built drawings, using the Government-furnished software (RMS) for electronic exchange of information and management of the contract, See Section 01312 QUALITY CONTROL SYSTEM), storm water pollution prevention, and environmental protection. The e stimated value of the proposed work is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. A Pre-Bid conference will be held at the Greenwood Area Office. The date and time for the Pre-Bid Conference will be established with the issuance of the plans and specifications. Plans and specifications will be available at http://www.mvk.usace-.army.m il/contract/ on the Vicksburg Consolidated Contracting Office (VCCO) Web Page. Compact discs and hardcopies will not be available. Bidders should check the VCCO Web Page often for new solicitations and/or changes (AMENDMENTS) to existing ones. Issue date on or about 14 June 2005. Bid opening date on or about 16 Aug 2005 at 1400 Hours.
