- Description
- This acquisition is a HUBZONE SET-ASIDE”, and is restricted to participation by Hub Zone firms only. Award may be made without Negotiations taking place. Provide all plant, labor, material, equipment, supplies, and coordination necessary to replace the HVAC system, first floor, Bldg. 91, Robins AFB GA. Work includes, but is not limited to, demolition and replacement of the existing second floor air handler serving the first floor cafeteria. Install VAV air conditioning system to service the cafeteria and vault. Core drill through the ceiling of the vault in several places to accommodate the new HVAC ductwork. Replace the existing electronic/pneumatic HVAC control system with a new DDC system, to service both the existing and new air handlers. Drain and abandon-in-place existing 2” buried piping routed from existing chiller to the building. Replace the existing 2” chiller supply and return piping with new 3” preinsulated piping. A portion of this new piping is buried, and will involve partial removal and replacement of existing concrete sidewalks. Perform abatement for suspected asbestos containing duct insulation that is being demolished. Replace the suspended ceiling and lighting in the cafeteria and adjacent spaces with new lighting and suspended ceiling. Modify the existing fire sprinkler system to accommodate the new ceiling height. Modify a security grille around the cafeteria break area to accommodate the new suspended ceiling. It is the intention of the government to award a Firm Fixed Price contract as a result of competitive Offers received from qualified Hub Zone firms responding to the Solicitation. The magnitude of the Construction project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The estimated date for release of the Solicitation under the Government’s Request for Proposal (RFP) is on or about 26 May 05, with an estimated due date for receipt of Proposals of 27 Jun 05. The Official Copy of the Solicitation will not be provided on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) or paper, and can only be accessed on the WEB Site: http://fedbizopps.gov/. The estimated period of performance is 90 calendar days from the date the Notice to Proceed is acknowledged. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 238220, and $ 12 million annual receipts. The Government is not responsible for notifying potential Offerors of changes to the Solicitation. All changes, Amendments, and other pertinent information will be posted on the Web Site above for viewing.
