- THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION IS RESTRICTED TO VENDORS LOCATED IN THE LOCAL COMMUTING AREA OF WASHINGTON, DC. (no more than 50 miles driving distance to the United States Capitol Building). The United States Senate Office of the Sergeant at Arms (SAA) is interested in receiving information from qualified vendors, which may include presentations, about their ability to provide a review of SAA state office leases and the required footnote disclosure for operating leases. The estimated budget for this initial project is $10,000. REQUIREMENTS: (1) Location: The vendor must be located within the Washington, DC Local Commuting Area (no more than 50 miles driving distance to the United States Capitol Building). (2) Experience: The vendor must have specific experience, within the last five years, in performing accrual audits for the federal government and experience with FASAB GAAP standards; and (3) References: The vendor must provide three references along with complete and current contact information (customer name, project name/contract number, address, contact name, phone number and email) for three past or current customers; the Senate will check references as necessary to evaluate experience. Experience will be evaluated on the basis of its breadth and depth, its similarity to the Senate project as well as the satisfaction of clients and overall quality of services represented by the projects described. Responses are due no later than May 27, 2005 at 12:00 Noon EDT and shall be submitted electronically via e-mail only to acquisitions@saa.senate.gov to the attention of Kathleen M. Haddow. The subject line of the e-mail message shall be 2005-RFI-003 Auditing Services. The response must contain: 1) General Information about your firm (Company Name, Address, Point of Contact, Telephone Number, E-mail address, DUNS Number, and Tax ID Number); 2) A discussion of your firm’s ability and experience in performing accrual audits for the federal government and your experience with FASAB GAAP standards; and 3) three references. At the SAA option, it may request a presentation from vendors responding to this announcement at United States Senate facilities during June 2005. The presentation should take no longer than two hours. The Senate or the SAA will not be responsible for any costs for the preparation of responses to this announcement, preparation of a presentation or attendance at SAA requested meetings.
