Description

The William J B Dorn, VA Medical Center, Facilities Management Infrastructure, Columbia, South Carolina, VISN 7, has a requirement for a sole source, firm-fixed price contract to be awarded to Southern Elevator Company, Incorporated to provide the installation of new control, signal and door control systems for the existing elevators. FAR 6.302 authorize sole source procedures. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 238290 with the size standard of $12.0M. This procurement will be conducted utilizing simplified acquisition procedures in FAR Part 13 in conjunction with commercial items procedures of FAR Part 12. The solicitation will be available on or about May 27, 2005. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature, detailing how their services meet VA requirements, to the Contracting Officer or by fax to 478-274-5585. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Requests for hardcopy solicitation must be in writing to the Contracting Officer. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Any and all questions regarding this solicitation must be in writing and faxed to the Contracting Officer. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will be available at the URL addresses.
