Description
Provide all necessary labor, material, transportation, equipment and supervision required for HVAC Rehabilitation, Command/Medical Building, at USCG Support Center ISC Portsmouth, VA. General: The general scope of work of this project involves the rehabilitation of the HVAC systems at the Command/Medical Building at ISC Portsmouth, VA. Work involves demolition, replacement and rehabilitation of various HVAC systems, and associated electrical, structural, and architectural work as necessary to support the HVAC replacement and upgrades. 1.2 Structural; 1.2.1 Miscellaneous structural framing to support new HVAC units; 1.3 Mechanical: Replacement of air handling units and renovation of airside and waterside hydronic systems serving the Medical/Dental area of the building, and the Command Area of the building;1.3.1 Demolition; 1.3.2 Replacement of air handling units AHU-1, 2, 3, and 4, and installation of AHU-5 (new) and associated system renovation/upgrades including new VAV boxes for Command system and improved airside economizer operation at several systems; 1.3.3 Renovation of building chilled water piping systems to assign certain systems to the building chiller and certain systems to the Central Mechanical Plant feed;1.3.4 Modification of the building space heating hot water system to accommodate airside changes; 1.3.5 New DDC controls, wirelessly tied back to the base central system;1.3.6 Provisions for temporary HVAC in conjunction with phasing of work to minimize disruptions to base operations; 1.4 Electrical: Electrical work as required to support the HVAC renovation work including:1.4.1 Demolition;1.4.2 Installation of new power feeds; 1.4.3 Minor lighting rework associated with ceiling height changes to allow HVAC renovation. The following Unit Work Items will not be funded at time of award. The price for the Unit Work Items shall remain in effect for the duration of the contract performance. If required, the Unit Work Items will be awarded as required by issuance of a modification to the contract. 1.5.1 UNIT WORK ITEM #1: Provide a unit work item for temporary heating during construction as specified herein. Refer to Section 01520 and Section 15050-3.1. Provide a unit work item per job of providing temporary heating for a period of two (2) months. 1.5.2 Unit Work Item 2: Provide a unit work item for temporary air conditioning during construction as specified herein. Refer to Section 01520 and Section 15050-3.1 Provide a unit work item per job of providing temporary 120 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. This procurement is estimated between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. This procurement is a Total HubZone Set-Aside. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238220 with a size standard of $12.0M.
