This is a pre-solicitation notice for hazardous tree removal of 640 (est.) marked trees (590 Pines, 29 Oaks, and 21 Cedars), ranging in size from approximately 5" to 24" in diameter. Work consists of all labor, materials, equipment, miscellaneous supplies, transportation and supervision required to perform specified services to fall and dispose of marked trees located throughout Fort Pickens historic district and along the roadways at Fort Pickens recreational area of Gulf Islands National Seashore (east of Santa Rosa Island) in Escambia county, Florida. Areas where the work is to be performed are developed recreational areas consisting of campgrounds, day use areas, roadway aprons, etc. Caution shall be exercised during logging/hauling operations to preserve both the infrastructure and surrounding vegetation to the maximum extent possible. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The performance period is 60 days from date of contract. The acquisition is set-aside exclusively for small business concerns. NAICS code: 113310 and small business size standard: 500 employees apply. Any eligible small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, and women-owned small business concerns who submits an offer by the closing date specified in the solicitation shall be considered.
