- Description
- This notice is for a Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS)/Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) requirement for medical and health care related services. The requirement will be competed pursuant to the law, the Social Security Act (SSA), Title V, Maternal and Child Health Services Block Grant, Section 501{, 42 U.S.C. 701} (a) and Section 502 {42 U.S.C. 702} (a) (2) (b). Therefore, the competition for this requirement is limited by statute to public or nonprofit institutions of higher learning and public or nonprofit private agencies and organizations engaged in research or in maternal and child health or programs for children with special care needs for research projects relating to maternal and child health services for children with special health care needs which show promise of substantial contribution to the advancement thereof. The purpose of the contract is to support integrating Healthy Child Care American (HCCA) objectives into State Early Childhood Comprehensive Systems (SECCS) critical component of early care and education by developing and maintaining a Child Care Health Consultant national registry to ensure the necessary infrastructure for child health care consultants at the state and local level and by providing technical assistance to the HCCA and SECCS programs. The period of performance is planned to be a contract with a base year with three one year option periods. A justification for other than full and open competition (JOFOC) is on file.
