Description
THIS IS AN AMENDMENT TO THE INITIAL SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION. The purpose of this amendment is to provide questions and answers and to extend the closing date to June 6, 2005. Question 1: When would the award be announced? Answer 1: The USCG intends to award the Blanket Purchase Agreement on/or about June 20, 2005. Question 2: When would the training start? Answer 2: The first training session is planned for August of 2005. Question 3: Who presently conducts this training for the USCG? Answer 3: There is no current contracting vehicle in place. Question 4: Paragraph 5.1.9 is not totally clear. Can it be made clearer? Answer 4: The text has been revised as shown below to indicate the full intent of the item (Please note that 5.1 is unchanged but is restated for effect.). 5.1 International Safety Management. The Contractor shall ensure that the delegates who successfully complete the maritime auditor/lead auditor course are competent to: 5.1.9 Explain the differences between the verification process for the Document of Compliance (Owner's office) and the Safety Management Certificate (Vessels). Question 5: What is needed in the technical portion of the quote? Answer 5: As stated in the initial synopsis/solicitation, Technical Approach is an evaluation factor and offerors should provide the technical approach that will be used to accomplish the requirements included in the snyposis/solicitation, as well as a course outline. The technical approach should fully demonstrate your understanding and capability to accomplish the requirement. End of Amendment.
