Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source purchase order firm-fixed price type to: Society for Public Health, Washington, DC. The REACH 2010 Program is the cornerstone of CDC?s efforts to eliminate racial and ethnic disparities in health. Funding have been invested in 42 REACH 2010 communities; the investments have led to substantial progress in eliminating disparities in health. It is now in the 5th year of the project implementation and it is of critical importance to document and disseminate the success and lessons learned from this project. One of the dissemination avenues is to publish the results in the peer-review journal. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR PART 6 Subpart 6.302-3 Industrial mobilization; engineering, developmental, or research capability; or expert services. (a) Authority. (1) Citations: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(3) or 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(3). (2) Full and open competition need not be provided for when it is necessary to award the contract to a particular source or sources in order (ii) To establish or maintain an essential engineering, research, or development capability to be provided by an educational or other nonprofit institution or a federally funded research and development center.Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This procurement is not set-aside for small business.
