Description
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) is conducting a market survey of forensic Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to be installed in forensic laboratories outside of the United States. As part of this survey we are seeking information from vendors that have forensic LIMS systems experience and the ability to design, implement, and support forensic LIMS systems in countries outside of the United States. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541512, with a size standard of 21 million. Responses to this announcement must provide detailed, concise information about: 1) the company?s qualifications and experience delivering, installing and supporting forensic LIMS in foreign countries within the past three years. Project information shall include a description of the project, contract number, dollar value, period of performance, current status, and current point of contact information such as name, address, telephone number, and email address. 2) Product information including functionality, target market (e.g., small, medium, large forensic laboratories), approach to customization, and ability to provide graphical user interfaces (GUIs) that display text in client country languages (e.g., Bulgarian). 3) Commercial pricing information. 4) Installation capabilities, including ability to install multi-discipline forensic LIMS supporting laboratory headquarters locations located in single multi-story buildings and extend LAN headquarters LIMS systems over a WAN to support remotely located satellite forensic laboratories. 5) Training capabilities. In addition, the response must state small business size status (small, small disadvantaged, HUBZone, etc.) and not exceed 25 pages. All responses must be submitted electronically to Kenneth Freeman?s attention at kenneth.h.freeman@usdoj.gov by July 1, 2005. After reviewing responses, the DOJ may contact individual vendors to obtain additional information. The determination to obtain additional information and which vendors may be contacted is solely at DOJ?s discretion. This market survey is for informational purposes only and is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). There is no solicitation document available; no contract will be awarded based on this announcement; and, no reimbursement will be made for costs associated with responding to this announcement.
