Description
The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. The VA Medical Center located at 1201 N.W.16th ST., MIAMI, Florida intends to negotiate a sole source contract with GE Medical Systems located at 8200 W. Tower Ave. Milwaukee, Wi 53223 to provide VA Medical Center with full hardware and software maintenance support for the GE Medical System Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). Support includes the following: Full Service Support Features - Unlimited Parts and Labor; 30 minute Phone Response; On-site Support, M - F 8am-5pm, as deemed necessary by the Remote Operations Center (excludes GE Holidays); 4 Hour / 12 Hour On-Site Response for Critical / Non-Critical Components., 24 X 7 Remote Operations Center (ROC) Support; 24 X 7 Active System Management; Remote Applications Support, M-F 8am-5pm CST; Persistent Link via Frame Relay or VPN (Customer provided VPN Service); GE Recommended PM's, M-F 8am-5pm; Same Day Parts Delivery (for Critical Components) - Proactive Database and System Management; Software Bug Fixes / Error-Corrections &Updates - performed M-F 8am-5pm; Software Obsolescence Protection (S/W Upgrades) - S/W loads and labor included and performed M-F 8am-5Pm; Standard Administrative Reports; Unlimited GE Modality Integration Services; 99.9%.Uptime Guarantee for Critical Components (incl: ISU/IMS, Archive, Broker (HL7 interface) & Web Server) {Path speed PACS 99.0%}. This is a commercial item acquisition prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12. This acquisition is unrestricted, NAICS code is 541990, $6.0 mil. The contract period will consist of base year with four year options. Interested parties must submit written qualifications and must demonstrate capabilities to be able to meet the requirements of the solicitation. The electronic solicitation may be downloaded on http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov/cgi-bin/WebObjects/BosPublic.woa. The offeror is responsible for downloading all amendments and other documents from the BOS website without further notices from the Department of Veterans Affairs, Medical Center, Miami, FL. All questions must be submitted in writing to the following email address: Lillie.Farrell@med.va.gov or fax your written request to Lillie Farrell, Procurement Technician, at (305) 575-3280. Proposals shall be submitted by June 15, 2005 at 4:00 pm (local time). Oral communication will not be accepted. If there are no responses to this notice within the time designated, negotiations will commence with GE Medical Systems.
