- The following CLINS are added for FMS quantities to be delivered to FMS countries. CLIN 0002 100 each CLIN 0003 931 each CLIN 0004 400 each A fixed quantity, firm-fixed price contract is contemplated for National Stock Number (NSN): 6685-01-518-0319NZ; part number: 4087911; NOUN: Thermocouple, Immersion; Quantity Ranges: Minimum 6,829each, Medium 13,658 each, Maximum 20,487 each; Anticipated Required Delivery: 3414 each monthly starting in June 2005 (check the delivery schedule in the RFQ as this could change); Destination: Ship to FB2039; Size and Dimensions: 7 ? inches X ? inches X ? inches.; Predominant Material: Nickel Alloy Thermocouple wire ; Form, Fit and Function: provide engine exhaust gas temperature of engine to aircraft gauge. Qualification requirements are not available for this Part Number. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate sole-source with Rosemount Aerospace Inc, 1256 Trapp Road, Eagan MN 55121-1217, under the authority of Section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996, as implemented in FAR 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items, as Rosemount Aerospace is the only approved source and has necessary data to which the Government does not have sufficient rights. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all quotes received within forty days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will create and issue a request for proposal (RFP) and post it to FEDBIZOPPS on approximately 14 Feb 2005 the RFP Number will be FA8104-05-R-0236. Technical data relating to the part are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. All quotes must be received no later than the closing date and time specified in the RFP (the date is expected to be 45 calendar days after the posting of this notice, but see the RFP for the final date and time). All responsible sources may submit a quote that shall be considered by the Government. The award date is estimated to be on or about 28 Apr 2005. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
