- EDS 2006 INDUSTRY DAY: Sponsored by the Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center, Detachment 12, Vehicle Operations Directorate (SMC Det 12/VO). SMC Det 12/VO will host an Industry Day informational forum regarding the upcoming Engineering, Development, and Sustainment (EDS 2006) acquisition. This event is scheduled for 14 and 15 June 2005 at the Philips Space Conference Center, conference room 7a, Kirtland AFB (KAFB). The address is: 1750 Kirtland Drive, Building 201, KAFB 87117. The purpose of this Industry Day is to provide interested parties and potential vendors the opportunity to receive information on the SMC Det 12/VO requirements for its EDS 2006 acquisition. Attendance will be limited to eight (8) personnel per company/team (including subcontractors). The schedule for Tuesday 14 JUNE 05 is as follows: 0900-1200 Industry Day Briefing; 1200-1330 Lunch; 1330-1630 Tours. Wednesday 15 JUNE 05 is reserved for those who would like to have one-on-one meetings with the Government. Each contractor team (including subcontractors) will be allowed only one meeting. Currently six time slots are available for 15 JUNE 05, if more than six teams are interested, additional meetings will scheduled for 16 JUNE 05. The scheduled time slots for one-on-ones on 15 JUNE 05 are: 0900-1015, 1030-1145, 1300-1415, 1430-1545, 1600-1715. Choice of time slots is based on first come first serve. Contact Lisa Postma at 505-853-3963 to reserve a time slot. If interested, tours of the Camp Parks Communication Annex (CPCA) located at Dublin, CA and the Center For Research Support (CERES) located at Schriever AFB, CO will be scheduled during the Industry Day Briefing for the period of 27-30 June 05. The classification for the briefing and tours is UNCLASSIFIED. As portions of the draft solicitation are available they will be posted on the SMC Det 12 Contracting (PK) website at www.smc.kirtland.af.mil. Please submit all questions regarding the draft NLT 09 JUNE 05 1200 MST in writing to Lisa Postma lisa.postma@kirtland.af.mil and Larry Melancon larry.melancon@kirtland.af.mil. The answers to all questions will be posted to the SMC Det 12 website ASAP. A CD copy of the bidder's library will be provided to Government Contractor attendees. Please email a list of all attendees (minus personal data) to Lisa Postma. Once this list is received a map of KAFB showing the location of the meeting will be sent. A complete visit request for each attendee is also required to be faxed NLT 1200 MST on 08 JUNE 05 to our Security Office at (505) 846-4355, SMC Det 12/MS ATTN: Gary Fain or Phillip Wise. A separate visit request for the additional tours at CPCA and CERES will be required and sent to the same office listed above. The visit request must be typed on company letterhead and contain: 1) NAME; 2) JOB TITLE/POSITION; 3) DATE & PLACE OF BIRTH; 4) CITIZENSHIP; 5) SOCIAL SECURITY #; 6) LEVEL OF PERSONNEL CLEARANCE; 7) DATE OF CLEARANCE; 8) Special Access Authorizations: (NATO, CNWDI, OR COMSEC); 9) Name & Address of the Place to be Visited: SMC Det 12, 3548 Aberdeen Ave. SE, Kirtland AFB, NM 87117-5778; 10) Name, Title, & Duty Phone of the person(s) to be visited: Mr. Dan Crouch, Deputy Director of VO, (505) 843-3241; 11) Purpose & Justification for the visit in sufficient detail: Engineering, Development, & Sustainment 2006 Industry Briefing & Tours; 12) Date or period during which the visit request is to be valid: 14-15 JUNE 05; 13) Request contractor's name, address, and telephone number, assigned CAGE or FSC number, and certification of the level of the facility's FCL (If a Reciprocal clearance, so state.); 14) Signature of your security manager. Please identify any foreign nationals as soon as possible as additional paperwork may be required. A KAFB pass may only be obtained from the Truman Visitor Center. To obtain a pass the following documentation is required: 1) valid state driver's license or Government issued ID; 2) valid vehicle registration or vehicle rental agreement; 3) proof of insurance.
