- Description: The U.S. Army, Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Picatinny , NJ intends to solicit, negotiate, and award on a sole-source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) to ATK-Thiokol, PO Box 707 Brigham City, UT 84302-0707, for 40 mm M992 Infrared Illumination cartridges in accordance with Detail Specification 12956136 to be incorporated in 40mm munitions. First year production is estimated to be 1,012 units with an option year requirement of approximately 5,000 units. Such capabilities consist of (but are not limited to) pyrotechnic compositions and chemical light producing components. All interested and responsible sources are encouraged to electronically submit their capabilities in regard to the above no later than 18 days of this notice to Commander, U.S. Army TACOM, ATTN: Mr.Jeffrey McEnteer @ jmcente@pica.army.mil. Information regarding type of materials, performance, environmental impacts, and current or potential applications is requested. AMSTA-AQ-APF, Bldg. 9, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000. Information submitted should include your organization, personnel, facilities, applicable subcontractor network and past experience to meet specific needs stated above. Include company name, address, telephone number, technical point of contact, item nomenclature, item description, and brochure/literature. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION AND DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION. Please be advised that the Government will not pay for any information submitted under this announcement. Electronic submittals are preferred. See Numbered Notes 22 and 25.
