Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This solicitation, 05SQ810431, is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The applicable NAICS Code is 334513 with a size standard of 500 employees. A firm-fixed price contract is contemplated and the solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are available on the following web site http:// ideasec.nbc.gov, under document 05SQ810431. This acquisition is a 100 percent set aside for Small Business under the North American Industry Classification System Code 334513. Under this solicitation, the Bureau of Reclamation requires the design and installation of controls to upgrade the control system used to measure and regulate flows delivered to operating experiments in the Water Resources Research Laboratory located in Building 56, on the Denver Federal Center in Denver Colorado. The current control systems utilize dedicated computer hardware that is difficult to maintain due to obsolescent of hardware components. Further, the existing system does not provide many features that are now available in modern control systems and cannot be easily upgraded to provide such features. Hence, replacement of the majority of the control hardware will be necessary to accomplish the Government's objective. All changes and revisions to the solicitation, if any, will be (1) identified accordingly, (2) issued as amendments to the solicitation, and (3) posted on the web site prior to solicitation's closing date. Reclamation reserves the right to determine whether amendments to the solicitation should be announced in the FedBizOpps. This solicitation will close on the close of business June 10, 2005 and Proposals are due, via e-mail or otherwise, at the following address, Denver Federal Center, 6th Avenue & Kipling Street, Denver CO, 80225, Building 56, D-7810, Attention John Collins, not later than 11: 00 am, July 5, 2005. All Offers are advised to carefully review the solicitation's SOW Deliverables wherein it is noted that the working system provided will require 3-day test to prove operation and a 4 hour on-site response time, during normal business hours, after receipt of a service request for a period of 1 year after acceptance.
