Description

FISH FOOD, GRANULES, PELLETS. The US Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 3, intends to issue a commercial item Request for Quotation (RFQ) to furnish and deliver fish food. This will be an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract for the period starting from date of award through September 30, 2006, with three additional option year periods. The estimated quantity for the first period is 765,000 lbs. Estimated quantity per option year is 614,000 lbs. Deliveries will be to five National Fish Hatcheries in the states of Wisconsin, Missouri, and Michigan. This procurement is issued as a total small business set-aside with a North American Industrial Classification Systems Code (NAICS) of 311119 and a corresponding small business size standard of 500 employees. Request for Quotation No. 301815Q004 will be issued on or about June 15, 2005, with quotations due approximately July 6, 2005. This solicitation will be issued using Electronic Commerce (EC). In order to view and download a copy of the solicitation, all prospective offerors must be registered at the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) website http://www.ccr.gov. You must have a valid Dun and Bradstreet (DUNS) number and e-mail address to register. You may obtain a DUNS number free of charge by calling 1-866-705-5711. Once you are registered and the RFQ is posted, you will be able to view it on line at either http://www.fedbizopps.gov or http://ideasec.nbc.gov (the Department of Interior site). For questions on the Department of Interior's site, please contact the help desk at 703-390-6707. This RFQ will be issued electronically as well as any amendments thereto. Accordingly, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders' mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any amendment(s) and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for quotes may render your offer non-responsive and result in rejection of same. Telephone requests will not be accepted.
