- This is a SOLE SOURCE procurement for shipboard repairs for repair parts for the vessel?s Waukesha Model 3265-10X10 main propulsion thrust bearings. Repair parts include four (4) each End Seal, Fin. Mach (28), P/N 000050644-000; four (4) each Oil Slinger (35), P/N 000050640-000; eight (8) each Gasket, Orifice Plate (45), P/N 000280272-000; two (2) each Gasket, Flange (51), P/N 000280273-000; eight (8) each Gasket, Cover (56), P/N 000280274-000; twenty (20) each Thrust Pad (19), P/N 000011730-000; eight (8) each Hex Lock Nut, 0.375?-16,Hvy (36) P/N 000159433-001; twenty (20) each Leveling Link (23)P/N 000030086-000; twenty (20) each Leveling Link (23)P/N 000030086-000; twenty (20) each Leveling Link (22)P/N 000020086-000; four (4) each Oil Seal Ring (37)P/N 000290138-000; twenty-four (24) each Shaft Positioning Segment (62) P/N 000170054-000; four (4) each Gasket, End Seal (61)P/N 000280265-000; four (4) each FWD Spacer Plate (64) P/N 000140746-000; four (4) each O-Ring, Joint 42.0 LG (66) P/N 000280188-005; and four (4) each Sq Head Pipe Plug, 0.75?NPT (67) P/N 000371544-002. This is a Firm Fixed Price Contract. The required delivery date is 02 September 2005. This requirement will be solicited as Sole Source RFQ, under NAICS Code 336611 with a size standard of 1000 employees. Telephonic requests for the solicitation resulting from this notice will not be accepted. Only written (fax or email) requests will be accepted. The estimated issue date for this solicitation is 02 June 2005. The closing date of the solicitation will be 07 June 2005 unless a later date is specified in the solicitation. This requirement will be procured under FAR Part 12. This requirement will be negotiated on an other than full and open competition basis in accordance with 10 USC 2304(c)(1) with Waukesha Bearings Corporation, as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 05 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
