- This is a Total Small Business Set aside. The Bureau of Indian Affairs, Eastern Region Office is seeking potential small business contractors to provide bookkeeping services to assist the Catawba Indian Nation in organizing their financial records for Fiscal Years 2004, so single audits may be completed for each of these years and 2. Install and configure MIP Fund Accounting Pro (Best Software) on 6 computers provided by the government. 3. Draft a tribal financial management, procurement management and property management system. 4. Train up to twelve employees on the operation of the systems and monitor the input of record for accuracy. The managements systems shall be compliant with 25 CFR Part 900, =?646?Q?Subpart_F_=E2=80=93_Standards_for_Tribal_or_?= =?646?Q?Tribal_Organization_Management_Systems.?= The audits performed are designed to provide assurance on the system of internal control or to identify reportable conditions, (i.e., significant deficiencies in the design or operation of internal controls). The final product will be used to support and validate the Catawba Tribal Organization Financial Management Systems in accordance with applicable Public Law 93-638 standards. Contractor should be experience in audits of Native American Indian tribes, including single audits and related issues, Federal Government audit services including experience with the Federal standard general ledger and related pronouncements of the Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board, exhibit and document experience in large-scale record keeping systems including storage and retrieval of funding source documents, and exhibit and document experience in auditing complex electronic data processing systems. The work is to be performed is located on the Catawba Tribal Reservation in South Carolina. The Contractor shall be registered vendor with Central Contractor Registration at www.ccr.gov. Contractors shall be licensed, properly certified, and insured. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract. Contractor shall provide all labor, material, and supplies as required to perform the work. The response received from this posting will be used to compile a list of potential sources for supplies/services. In particular, the Government is seeking to identify Qualified and Licensed Auditors that can perform the work. This is not a notice for request for quotes, request for proposal, or invitation for bid issuance. This is not a solicitation for any type of requirement at all. This posting's purpose is only to uncover potential sources when the government has the requirement. The Government is in no way obligated to do business with or to enter into in any form of contract with any person, firm or other entity that receives this inquiry. The inquiry neither states or implies that furture contracts will be awarded to persons, firms, or other entities responding to this inquiry. However, there may be possibility for future business if/when the Government has a need for this type of service.
