- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance With the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N68836-05-T-0109, is issued as a request for quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect under FAC 97-17 and DFARS change notice 20000606 apply. The following provisions, 52.212-1 Instruction to Offeror, 52.212-2 a(ii) Evaluations. Quoters are required to complete and include a copy of the following provision with their proposal: 52.212-3 , Offeror Representations and Certifications apply. 52.219-1 Small business Program Representation, 52.219-1 Alt 1 Small Business Program Representation, NAIC is _811310, $6.0 Million The proposed contract action is to procure repair services to include material as follows: Requirement to overhaul, update and renew a Dockside Underway Replenishment (UNREP) simulator (DUS), device 20H4, and to update, renew and overhaul major systems on the DUS, located at the Afloat Training Group (ATG ) facility Mayport, FL. The DUS trailer simulates a delivering ship sending station and provides the combatant ship personnel training on their UNREP equipment. The update, renew and overhaul of the engine, hydraulic and air systems is paramount due to the age and obsolescence of the existing systems. Provide labor, material, transportation and facilities necessary to manufacture and /or replace cables and wire rigging. Unit consists of the following components: Detroit 453 Diesel Engine System, which requires overhaul gaskets and seals, radiator, water pump, lube oil cooler, timing chains, belts, cylinder heads, valves, pistons, shafts, connecting rods, shutdown cable, and exhaust system.. Hydraulic system overhaul main hydraulic pump, electric motor, hoses, fittings, seals, hard lines, relief valves, junctions, and drive belts. Inspect, renew, overhaul starboard winch gear seal assembly. Test and certify system. Compressed air system requires overhaul of compressor assembly, both air valve block assemblies, air hoses, regulator assembly, air tank, foot valves, in-line valves, and air line water separator. Test and certify system. Transport trainer to and from contractor site. Manufacture replacement rigging, cable and wire for the following, A. Highline (span) wire, B. Inhaul Wire, C. Outhaul wire, D. Kingpost hauling wire E. Two (2l) Forestay wires, F. Two (2) Afterstay wires, G. Two (2) Block pennants, H. Two (2) Guy wires, I. Weight test and Certify all wires Quality Assurance Provisions. ATG, Mayport will be responsible for verifying testing and acceptance provisions with the assistance of the cognizant NAVAIR TSD Mayport In-Service Engineer. Packaging, ATG Mayport will be responsible for verifying packaging requirement from the Manufacturer?s plant to the DUS Trailer.All replacement parts shall be new, wire shall be galvanized.
